The Target Range is the third tilt-up building on the Vortex Optics business campus in Barneveld, WI. As an indoor range this is the most specialized project to date. This space was designed to provide Vortex with increased in-house testing capabilities as well as a proper training facility.
About the project
4 Vortex Drive houses both a 50-yard and a 100-yard target range, as well as fully finished areas for classroom presentation, gun cleaning, and storage. Built using tilt-up construction along with a pour-in place retaining wall, this nearly 400 foot long building is sturdy enough to ensure that Vortex Optics will have a controlled testing and training environment for years to come. It employs state-of-the-art range equipment to decrease maintenance costs while providing optimal safety features.
